Product Description

Toughened or Tempered glass is a type of safety glass that has increased strength and will usually shatter into small, square pieces when broken rather than shards and is therefore less likely to cause injury. It is used when strength, thermal resistance and safety are important considerations. In commercial structures it is used in unframed assemblies such as frameless doors, structurally loaded applications and any other application that would become dangerous in the event of human impact.

BRG GLASS TEMPERED GLASS FEATURES

 

1. BRG Glass Tempered Glass- It's enhanced impact resistance enhanced impact resistance enables an 8mm sheet of Noval large tempered glass to withstand a 500g steel ball dropped from a height of 2m. For comparison, the same ball dropped from a height of 0.3 m would break 8mm annealed glass. BRG has been tested in accordance with BS EN12600

2. BRG Glass Tempered Glass -Tempered safety glass is significantly more resistant to flexural stresses than conventional annealed glass; The resistance is characterized by a bending strength in the region of 120 Mpa (BS EN 12150).

3. BRG Glass Tempered Glass - BRG can withstand temperature differences of up to 200°C. For comparison, this around 30°C for ordinary annealed glass.
